Our prediction for this Primera Division match:
Villarreal will look to make amends for a 1-0 loss to Real Betis when they take on Sevilla in the La Liga derby. The Yellow Submarine have been having their ups and downs of late, but they are still seen as favourites to beat Sevilla, who made a slow start to the season. All Gerard Moreno, Juan Foyth, and Alberto Moreno are sidelined with injuries for the home team, while Francis Coquelin is pushing for his second start of the season.
Los Sevillanos, on the other hand, finally gave fans some cheer, with the team beating Espanyol 3-2 on the road at the weekend. Julen Lopetegui’s men have regained a much-needed confidence, but keep in mind that important attacker Erik Lamela misses Sunday’s clash through suspension. Both Teixeira Marcao and Jesus Corona are out of contention with injuries. Anyhow, home win should be considered as we predict that Lamela will be sorel
Villarreal are still without the services of Alberto Moreno, while Juan Foyth, Manu Trigueros and Pepe Reina are doubts for the contest with Sevilla.
There will be wholesale changes from the side that took to the field for the first whistle on Thursday evening, with Kiko Femenia, Dani Parejo, Etienne Capoue and Pau Torres among those set to return.
Gerard Moreno and Nicolas Jackson should also be back in the final third alongside Yeremi Pino, with Jose Luis Morales and Samuel Chukwueze set to drop down to the bench on Sunday afternoon.
As for Sevilla, Erik Lamela will miss out due to a suspension, while Jesus Manuel Corona will again be unavailable for selection this weekend due to a long-term issue.
Marcao has a chance of making the bench after recovering from his injury, although it seems more likely that he will be saved until after the international break.
Head coach Lopetegui will shuffle his pack from Wednesday’s European contest, with Joan Jordan, Kasper Dolberg, Marcos Acuna, Rafa Mir and Tanguy Nianzou all in line to return to the side.
Villarreal vs Sevilla Head-to-head:

Villarreal vs Sevilla Prediction:
Villarreal are currently fifth in the league, and have made a good start to their league campaign. It will be interesting to see what the club’s domestic ambitions are under Unai Emery’s management, and Champions League qualification at the end of the season will surely be construed as a positive campaign.
Sevilla, on the other hand, are 16th in the league, and Julen Lopetegui’s position is under scrutiny now. Lopetegui has done well at the club, but there might be a need to start a fresh cycle.
We expect Villarreal to win here.
Prediction: Villarreal 1-0 Sevilla
